Styling Boho Glam; Featuring Band of Gypsies

That Boho Glam Vibe

Happy Friday ya’ll! I just got back from North Carolina last night and I had the best time!

Raleigh had some of the best food I’ve ever had, the Atlantic Ocean was beyond gorgeous and the people were so welcoming. It was a blast, but now I’m back to reality and busy working on all things blogging.

To get back in the groove I’m sharing this boho glam look and some of my favorite styling tips for this type of look. Read on to learn more!

Staple Pieces

If you want to be a boho glam guru theres a few staple pieces that will really help.

Bell Everything

Say yes to all things bell. Bell bottoms are obviously a classic boho piece and I think they are so flattering. If you don’t own a good pair of bell bottoms I suggest you find some quick. I love denim bell bottoms, jumpsuit bell bottoms, and even those comfy patterned bell bottoms. And don’t just wear bells on the bottoms. Bell sleeves are another silhouette that turns everything into a boho glam dream.

Fringe and Flow

When styling for a bohemian look anything flowy is an instant hit. This kimono from Band of Gypsies is a perfect flowy piece that is also oh-so glam! When dressing boho fabric is your friend so welcome the flowy garments.

Fringe is another way to up your boho game. I own fringe boots, fringe skirts, fringe purses and jackets. I am truly a sucker with anything that has fringe and I always gravitate towards those pieces when styling boho glam.

Fine Tune Those Details

It doesn’t really matter how you do your hair and makeup when going for that boho glam vibe but it can be fun to play on the theme. For instance, with today’s look I did a chic yet casual up-do. This is reminiscent of those 60’s hairstyles. I also did a classic cat-eye wing that also reminds me of the 60’s. Almost twiggy-ish. Two braids and a pale pink lip would also be fun. Just search 60’s or 70’s hair and makeup for general inspo.

Accessories can also make a huge difference in this type of styling. As you can see today I went with a vintage style pair of sunglasses. In my opinion these shades really tie the look together, and I just love them.

That’s all for today. Have a great weekend and talk soon! Xx

Floating On A Floral Dream; Bebe Summer 2017

Feelin’ Fine In Floral

Okay, this Bebe dress was seriously the prettiest thing I’ve ever put on. I’m in love with it.

I don’t always feel super girly, in fact I never really do. But sometimes you just put on a dress that makes you truly feel like a princess and you can’t fight that feeling. This dress was definitely one of those occasions for me.

As you may all know, Bebe creates some really high quality clothing, and this dress is no exception. The best part about this dress is how comfortable and wearable it is. Usually off the shoulder garments are poorly-made when it comes to mobility and comfort. Not this one. I was free to throw my arms up, run around, and apparently even kick my legs up in my state of sheer bliss. Although this dress is one of the most delicate and feminine pieces I’ve ever owned it totally allows you to be active which I love!

It’s All In The Details

The details on this dress are also impeccable.

The floral design is a perfect mix of grey and pink lilies dancing along the fabric. The sheer overlay and flouncing ruffles make for a playful silhouette that creates movement and body.

I also love the off the shoulder neckline as it is totally trending right now and I find it very universally flattering. A few chokers always pair well with the off the shoulder neckline so I threw on this set from Rock n Rose Girls. I stayed true to my edgy side while still being feminine by adding a pair of my favorite Matisse boots to the mix, and topping the look off with a relaxed pony tail.

I’m off for the week to do some traveling and get some work done. Follow along on instagram for more updates. I’ll be back on the blog later this week!

Seaside Spring Style; A Few Of My Favorite Pieces

Ocean Side Spring Attire

The Perfect Pieces

Today’s look is one of my favorite looks to date. ALL of these pieces are fun, flirty, and unique. Not to mention, they are all great staples for Spring and Summer! Read on to get all the deets on these pieces!

Rompin’ Around the Seaside

I honestly wear rompers all year long because I absolutely love them, but it seems most fitting that they are the go-to piece for Spring and Summer. Anything that’s one item of clothing but a complete look is a favorite of mine (i.e. dress, jumpsuit, romper). I love that you can dress them up with a pair of heels and a jacket or down with a bathing suit and some flip flops. For today’s look I went in between the two style and chose a casual/cute approach that isn’t too fancy. I love the way it turned out because it’s so livable yet so cute. Perfect for an any day look.

The color and detailing on this romper add so much to the look. The deep fuchsia is such a flattering color and I love that it’s feminine without screaming pink. Don’t get me wrong I love pink, but I also love this deeper hue for something slightly more subtle. The ruffled edges make this jumpsuit playful and flirty. I love the detailing because it adds some personality to the piece. The self tie waist band is so unique and also adds a nice touch.

Gems and Jewels

How beautiful is this lariat necklace? I mean, heart eyes all the way! I’m currently working with girl boss Courtney over at grayc glass to show you guys her amazing work! I have to tell you, I am so inspired by Courtney and her jewelry. Not only does she create stunning, unique, and high quality jewelry, but she does it all on her own at home, while being Mom. Wow right?

What I love most about her jewelry is how unique it is. Because she does all the creating herself each piece turns out original, even if she is making multiple of the same piece, they come out one of a kind. I love the simplistic styles with statement pieces of glass. She also has great layering pieces that are minimalistic and simple, easy to stack on with any other pieces. The other great thing about her work is the high quality of the pieces. Each one is made to be durable and lived in, which is ideally how all of our jewelry should be made considering we plan on wearing it in everyday life.

Anyway, grayc glass is an amazing small business that is full of inspiration and love. I am so thrilled to be repping some grayc glass around my neck. Check out her site here and shop some beautiful pieces!

Shoes of Summer

Matisse is one of my all time favorite footwear brands. A few weeks ago they were holding a flash sale, and I couldn’t pass up the chance for a good deal on some of my favorite shoes. So I ended up with these platform sandals that are my new go-to for every outfit. The neutral color goes with literally everything, and the buckle detail as well as the pressed pattern makes them a fun and flavorful shoe. The addition of a little height never hurt a short girl like me either ;)! So get ready to see these babies with allll my summer and spring looks!
